Chatfield
Chatfield State Park offers a series of hard-surface and natural trails that wind through the park, providing visitors with abundant vistas, numerous recreational opportunities, and links to regional trail systems. There is a perfect biking road including a gorgeous view of the lake at the Chatfield Reservoir Overlook, as well as a short tour around the southern end of the park. Visitors are provided with an abundance of opportunities for wildlife viewing and bird watching.
Cherry Creek
Surrounded by the Denver metro area, Cherry Creek offers a recreational oasis amid the hectic urban world. The park’s extensive multi-use trail system spans 35 miles, including 15 miles of paved trails, providing a pleasurable experience year-round for families. Anchored around an 880 surface-acre reservoir, the park offers a natural prairie landscape of gentle, rolling hills. Wildlife is abundant in the park, so be on the lookout for sightings along the way!
James M. Robb
Located along the Colorado River corridor, each of the five sections has its own character and biking opportunities, ranging from paved to hard-packed surfaces. There is no shortage of entertainment in the form of wildlife and views! A favorite is the Monument View section of the Colorado Riverfront trail. It connects the Fruita and Connected Lakes sections of James M Robb Colorado River State Park and offers 8 miles of gorgeous views of the Colorado National Monument. The wide trail and paved terrain makes it the perfect option for families.
Lake Pueblo
Lake Pueblo is a premier destination in southeast Colorado for mountain biking, with various trails, both paved and natural, and ranging from easy to challenging, beckoning bikers of all skill levels. The paved Pueblo River Trail connects the city of Pueblo to the park for easy access for bicyclists and making it perfect for family outings. Within the park, the paved Pueblo Reservoir Trail connects Rock Canyon, the Visitor Center, the South Shore Marina, the North Shore Marina and the campgrounds.
Lory
Whether you are young or old, a beginner or an advanced rider, Lory State Park has it all when it comes to mountain biking. The park has a jump/pump track offering 69,600 square feet of riding excitement. There are dirt jumps, a pump track and a skills area. The Corral Center Mountain Bike Park is open year-round, except for wet and hazardous conditions.
Ridgway
Bikers can explore 14 miles of diverse biking trails winding through the park, and access to over 40 miles of additional trails via the adjacent Ridgway Area Trail system and Dennis Weaver Trail systems. A self-service bike repair station is conveniently located at the Dutch Charlie Visitor Center. Wildlife abounds, on top of the stunning scenery surrounding Ridgway State Park, with the most prominent peak being the 14,149 foot Mt. Sneffels.
